I started WALLOW Foundation after losing my mother, Lynn Powers, an avid watercolorist, to a sudden heart attack. She was 65 years old. She loved to paint and teach others.
My mom would often say that she loved to ‘wallow in color.’ She and this saying are the inspiration for WALLOW Foundation. Our mission is to enrich and empower communities through art awareness, education and technology.
Art has a profound effect on training young minds. Early and regular exposure to art in young people leads to better civic engagement, academic performance, lower rates of crime, sexual abuse, poverty, drug use and just about every other negative societal measurement.
Communities that embrace and promote art also enjoy a number of positive social outcomes.
Your involvement with WALLOW Foundation supports our mission within your community.
